About this journal
Hand a kid your phone on vacation and you'll come home with 200 blurry photos of their shoes. Ask them a month later what they loved most about the trip, and the answer is the lizard on the hotel wall.
Little Explorers is a travel journal for kids that catches those details while they're still fresh. It opens with their own Explorer Passport, with a spot for a photo, their name, and three stars to fill in as their explorer level grows. After that come pages for collecting every place they've been.
Each trip gets its own set of pages. Before you leave, they write where they're going, when you leave and come home, how you're getting there (plane, car, boat, bus, or train), and what they're excited about. Then they pack their own bag with a simple checklist. During the trip, each day gets a page for drawing the coolest thing they saw, rating a new food (yummy, okay, or yucky), naming a new friend, and circling how the day felt. At the end, they draw their favorite memory and decide whether they want to go back.
What's inside
- My Explorer Passport — their own ID page, with explorer-level stars to earn
- 3 "Places I've Visited" pages — a stamp-style collection of every destination
- 10 trip sections — enough for a year of family trips, weekend drives included
- My New Adventure and Pack Your Bag pages — get them involved before you even leave
- 40 daily adventure pages — four days per trip for drawings, new foods, and new friends
- 10 "My Trip Is Over" pages — the best part, what to tell a friend, and whether to go back
- 10 Stamps, Photos & Stickers pages — a home for tickets, boarding passes, and souvenirs
The prompts are short and picture-led, so young kids can do them with a little help and older ones can do them alone. It also keeps small hands busy on long drives to the province, ferry rides, and airport waits.
It's for kids heading off on family trips, big or small, and for parents who want more than a camera roll to look back on. It's also a lovely gift from a lola or ninang before a first plane ride, a Boracay summer, or a trip to Japan.
By the time you're home, they'll have the whole trip in their own words and drawings.
