About this journal
Everyone asks how the baby is sleeping. Almost nobody asks how you're doing. Somewhere between the 3 a.m. feeds and the visitors who come to hold the baby, you slip to the bottom of your own list.
Mother Nurture is a postpartum journal that puts you back on it. It's a quiet five minutes a day, just for you. Each daily check-in lets you shade in how you're feeling, note your sleep and a bit of self-care, write what's on your mind, and name one thing you did well today. (Keeping a tiny human alive counts.)
Every week there's a wider look back, so over time you can see patterns in your mood, your energy, and what actually helps. The hard days are real. So is the progress, and it helps to have it in writing.
There's also a blank page for the warning signs your OB or midwife tells you to watch for. Bring it to your first postpartum checkup and let them help you fill it in.
What's inside
- My World pages — your birth story, your OB and pediatrician numbers, and who's helping with meals, nights, and errands
- 50 daily check-ins — a few minutes to check on yourself, not just the baby
- 12 weekly reflections — spot patterns in your mood, energy, and what helps
- Letters & Milestones pages — for notes to your baby, to yourself, and the firsts you don't want to forget
- Recovery & Reflection pages — a gentle look at how far you've come
It's for new moms in the first weeks and months after birth, whether it's baby number one or number three. It's a lovely gift from a sister, best friend, or ninang-to-be, at a baby shower or on that first visit, ideally along with a home-cooked meal.
This journal isn't medical advice and doesn't diagnose anything. How you're feeling and healing are conversations for your OB or midwife. If you ever have thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, please call your OB, go to the ER, or reach out to someone you trust right away. That's not a page to fill in.
You're keeping a whole person alive. This is a small place to look after yourself, too.
