About this journal

You signed up for one pole class "just to try it." Now you have bruises you're weirdly proud of, a playlist for practicing, and a move you've been dreaming about since you first saw someone do it upside down.

Pole looks like dance. It trains like gymnastics. And progress hides from the inside, because you can't see your own lines while you're spinning.

The Pole Journey is a training journal that helps you see it. It gives you a place to log the moves you tried, what held, what slipped, and what your instructor kept reminding you about, so each class builds on the last one. It tracks both sides, too, because pole exposes a favorite side faster than any sport.

It moves through three levels: grip, spins, and your first climbs and sits, then the strength work toward a controlled invert and short combos, then flow, choreography, and a routine you actually perform. Strength is built here, not required at the door, and every style counts, from fitness to flow to something more theatrical. It's also clear about safety: crash mats and spotters for new tricks, no lotion on pole days, and stopping when something hurts in a joint and not just a bruise.

What's inside

  • 12 training session logs — moves attempted, moves held, and both sides
  • 12 move trackers — see a trick go from "nope" to clean over the weeks
  • 6 combo & routine logs — keep the sequences you want to build on
  • 6 class & instructor notes pages — for the cues that finally made something click
  • "Studio Eyes" pages — feedback from classmates who can see what you can't
  • Body map pages — track bruises, marks, and anything worth watching
  • 15 skill focus pages across three levels, plus showcase prep and milestone checks
  • Grip and pole conditions notes, safety rules, a glossary, and a page for your pole family

It suits complete beginners in their first month, students working toward their first invert, and home-pole practitioners who want more structure. It's also a lovely gift for the friend who just bought a class package, or the barkada member who now opens every jar in the house.

The day you stop saying "I could never" deserves to be written down.
